Jungle Cacti
Most people's perception of the conditions in
which cacti grow, is of arid deserts scorched by the sun. Epyphllum, Aporocactus and
Hylocereus are some species of cacti that can be found growing in a constantly hot humid
atmosphere where the only light available is the sunlight that filters through the dense
canopy of the trees above. These strange plants have spectacular trumpet shaped nocturnal
flowers which are highly scented leaving visitors aghast by their beauty.
