HydroponicsHydroponics is the science of growing plants without using soil. Derived from the Greek HYDRO = Water and PONOS = Work. The water carries the plant food directly to the roots of the plant so very little fertiliser is required. Plants growing in Hydroponics do not need a large root system because of the availability of food and water.
